Delta Faucet Co. received the prestigious American Building Product Award at the recent International Builder’s Show for design in the plumbing fixtures category. Its Victorian Bath Collection has been a big hit with consumers since its launch last year and is now starting to receive significant industry recognition. The award is given annually and recognizes products that reflect breakthroughs in technology matched with the influences of time-tested style.
“Winning these kinds of awards certainly validates our renewed commitment to product development and design,” said Delta President John Wills. “Part of our reorganization over the past two years includes creating a group dedicated to trend-spotting to keep us on the leading edge of the marketplace. They realized it was time to bring electronics into home plumbing. This group also knows, as the Victorian Collection proves, you sometimes spot future trends by looking back.”
Delta has incorporated the Victorian theme in a centerset, widespread and mini-widespread faucet as well as tub/shower units, Roman tub faucets and a hand shower. Turned brass fittings add ornate detail commonly found in turn-of-the-century dEcor, while a newly designed high-rise spout creates a unique look that is easy to maintain.
The Victorian collection and the e-Flow hands-free electronic faucet were also both recently picked as ADEX (Award for Design Excellence) Award winners by Design Journal. Winners were categorized in three levels: platinum, gold and silver. The e-Flow, the first residential electronic faucet, received a platinum award, and the Victorian Bath received a gold award. This brings to five the number of product design and innovation awards Delta has won over the past year.
